Majoring in painting, ironically, Laura didn’t pick up a paintbrush past after her first year of study, despite majoring in painting.
Graduating with distinction, her mental capacity for the fine arts was, at that moment, exhausted so she embarked on a journey to become 'successful'. This saw Laura complete a Master’s degree in Arts Management and embarked on an eight-year career in the fashion, publicity and celebrity industries, learning valuable marketing skills but leaving her art practice temporarily dormant (though never forgotten).
Now in her thirties, with some perspective on her former ‘conforming years’, Laura has redefined what success is to her – time to create and the willpower to do so. She now brings the learning from her ‘experimenting days’ back to her old love of painting as wells as a new found practice in the simplicity of line art.
